Monster Hunter Rise Playable on PC | Switch Emulation – 60 FPS at 1620p Tested

Thanks to recent development, Monster Hunter Rise is in a playable state on Ryujinx, an emulator for the Nintendo Switch. (Linux/Windows)

This gameplay was captured using a new PR Update (HLE Macro PR linked below), which greatly improves this games performance. Also in use are mods to allow the game to run higher than its native 1344×756, instead rendering at 2880×1620. This 1620p mod is still in testing, so if you do not have a powerful enough GPU it may introduce performance issues. If this is the case, you can find a tested and working 1080p mod also linked below.

Additionally, I am using a mod to unlock the framerate from its native 30 FPS to a much higher 60 (Mod linked below). While the emulator isn’t often able hit this 60 FPS cap, Monster Hunter Rise seems to have a dynamic game speed. This means that even when running at a lower framerate, it maintains full speed at all times.

Regardless, considering the fact that this game release only 2 days ago, it’s rather impressive that it runs at all. Let alone running at playable framerates (Even if my test PC is very powerful)

It should be noted that in order to maximize the effectiveness of these mods, you will need to manually merge the PPTC + exefs PR (Link below) which is currently listed as Draft (Meaning it is a work in progress). Hopefully once this update is ready, exefs mods will be more usable on this emulator.

To use these mods, download and extract them into your mod folder within the emulator (Right click game/open mod folder) once you have the mods extracted to this folder, they will activate. Please only place one of the below resolution mods into this folder(Whichever one you want to use), otherwise you will run into issues
