HOW TO PLAY ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD ON PC WITH YUZU EMULATOR FULL GUIDE!

HOW TO PLAY ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD ON PC WITH YUZU EMULATOR FULL GUIDE!

Prerequisites

  • Yuzu Emulator, available from the Yuzu website.
  • The game files for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
  • Prod.keys file.
  • (Optional) Shader cache files and update/DLC files.

Step 1: Install Yuzu Emulator

After downloading Yuzu, double click the Yuzu logo on your desktop. If you downloaded the early access version, right click, and select ‘Extract Here’. This will generate a ‘Yuzu Early Access’ folder.

Step 2: Handling Missing Components

On starting Yuzu, you’ll see a prompt about missing components (prod.keys). To fix this, go to ‘File’, then ‘Open Yuzu Folder’. Create a new folder named ‘keys’, then paste the prod.keys file in here. Close Yuzu.

Step 3: Load Games

Open Yuzu again, then double click to add a new folder to the game list. Navigate to where you stored the game files and select that folder. If you have subfolders for games, right click in the game list and check ‘Scan Subfolders’.

Step 4: Configuration

Navigate to ‘Emulation’, then ‘Configure’. Check ‘Multi-core CPU emulation’. For personal UI preference, you may choose ‘Dark Colorful’. Save your changes.

In the System settings, you don’t need to adjust anything unless you want to make custom profiles or change in-game time.

Under CPU, set it to ‘Accurate’. In the Graphics tab, if you have an NVIDIA GPU, select ‘OpenGL’, for AMD graphics card choose ‘Vulkan’. If using OpenGL, also check ‘Use Disk Shader Cache’ and ‘Use Asynchronous GPU Emulation’.

In the Advanced graphics settings, ensure the ‘Accuracy Level’ is set to ‘Normal’. If using OpenGL, check ‘Use Assembly Shaders’ and ‘Use VSync’. Regardless of your graphics setting, check ‘Use Asynchronous Shader Building’ and ‘Use Fast GPU Time’. Set ‘Anisotropic Filtering’ to 16 times.

Under Audio settings, disable ‘Audio Stretching’ and turn down the volume if needed.

Step 5: Controller Configuration

Navigate to the Controller tab and connect a controller. For best results, it is recommended to use ‘Dual Joy Cons’. Make sure to select ‘Docked’ mode. Save your profile.

Step 6: Setting Up Shader Cache

If a shader cache for Breath of the Wild is available, you can set it up by right-clicking the game and selecting ‘Open Transferable Shader Cache’. If a cache for the game does not exist, you’ll need to play the game a bit, close Yuzu, and try again.

Congratulations! You’re all set up and ready to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on your PC using the Yuzu Emulator. Enjoy the game!
