As of the September 2021 PS5 firmware update, the M.2 NVMe SSD expansion slot has been enabled and is all ready for use! This video will show you the SSD requirements the PS5 is looking for, as well as how to physically install the SSD and finally configure it on the console itself. This process is thankfully quite quick and easy, which makes acquiring a PS5 the hardest part of this tutorial to follow.
