How to Register & Setup Insignia for the Original Xbox! – Xbox Live 1.0 Replacement

Insignia is a free replacement for the original Xbox Live 1.0 service designed to work with original Xbox consoles. This video will show original Xbox owners looking to connect to Insignia how to prepare by registering their consoles, signing up on the Insignia site, and how to set up a fully working account. The last one there being quite important as there’s a few extra steps to take in Gamertag creation.

This video was made possible thanks to the Insignia team allowing me to Alpha test the service in order to record the footage for this video. Although this video has been recorded around the time of the first public Beta test, this process should remain about the same going forward, so you should be covered if you’re watching this in the future.
