The kidnapping of Mark Hammond’s son leads him on a journey through London’s criminal underworld as he does jobs for the kidnapper, crime lord Charlie Jolson, in order to clear himself of his wife’s murder. Meanwhile, DCI Frank Carter searches through the empire for answers.

Drive through over 40 square kilometres of central London, realistically recreated. Explore London as a tourist, black cab driver or minicab driver. Features Two plot threads – play as victim and cop to get both sides of the story. Features over 60 minutes of cutscenes.

Trivia

Charlie Jolson makes reference to Ronnie Biggs, one of the men who took part in the Great Train Robbery of 1963. Biggs escaped from prison in 1965, and fled to Brazil. He later returned to the UK in 2001, and was promptly arrested and re-imprisoned. He was released in 2009 on compassionate grounds.

This is the last mission that Mark does for Charlie.

As soon as the mission begins, get out of your car and kill the remaining guys of the Collins gang, especially the one arriving in another car. If you don’t do that, the game will consider that you’re still being chased by them and you won’t even have a chance to avoid police attention.

Trivia

The cat’s fate is unclear. It is difficult to tell from the cutscene whether or not it was killed as the cutscene ends with the cat disappearing from the screen. When Jake, Sparky and Eyebrows first shoot at it, it manages to avoid the bullets and can be seen running off into the distance. It is however likely that it was killed as the game jumps from them trying to kill the cat to when they are inside the depot looking for Mark. They would have presumably kept shooting at it until it was dead, and because it was close by, it’s unlikely it managed to escape.

Before leaving Rivington Street, pick up a shotgun from a Yardie’s corpse and keep it until you get to Charlie’s depot. Inside the depot, let Sparky come close to you and use the shotgun to kill him much faster than with a pistol. He can barely take two or three shots before dying.
