How to Repaste the Nintendo Switch – Thermal Paste Replacement & Upgrade!

With the Nintendo Switch aging as the original units out there have been running since March 2017, a bit of preventative maintenance can help keep your console cool and running for more years to come. This video specifically covers the standard model of the Switch, although if you wish to adapt these steps to your own Lite or OLED model, you’re more than welcome to! This covers the process of opening up the Switch, tearing it down to the bare SoC, removing the old thermal paste, then reassembling the console with some fresh thermal paste to keep it running cooler than before.
