We all see the Retroid Pocket 2 is fire in the retro game console field from last month, whatever Facebook group or the Reddit, I can see it everywhere. Is Retroid Pocket 2 really good or just some marketing publicity? Let’s go ahead and take a look!
Retroid Pocket 2 supports:
PSP
PS1
N64
Dreamcast
Gameboy
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
PC Engine
Wonder Swan Color
Mega Drive
MAME
SNES
NES
The 3.5 inch 640×480 screen should ensure the display provides fantastic high-definition performance. Even though there’s no frame rate shows on the display, I can feel it runs pretty smoothly. I didn’t notice any screen tearing so far, it really brings ultra-smooth visuals.
The only downside of the machine is the d-pad and ABXY buttons should be more reasonable. It’s tiresome to hold the device in some time for the big size and thickness.
With an $80 price, it’s one of the most reasonably priced options you can hope for. How do you think about it?
