Welcome to another episode of Retro Ralph! In this video, I’ll be showing you how to safely discharge an arcade CRT.
As you may know, CRTs or Cathode Ray Tubes are found in old arcade machines and can hold a significant amount of electrical charge even when the machine is turned off. Discharging a CRT improperly can result in serious injury or even death, so it’s important to follow these steps carefully.
It’s important to note that you should only attempt to discharge a CRT if you have the necessary experience and equipment. If you’re unsure or uncomfortable with the process, it’s best to leave it to a professional.
